13th Chime formed in 1980 in the small London over-spill town of Haverhill in Suffolk. The Chime were born out of the British Punk scene, vocalist Mick Hand, guitarist Gary O'Connor and drummer Ricki Cook were previously in a band called Anticx while bass player Terry Taylor played with another local band: a hard hitting three piece called Wynd-ups.
The Chime released three independent singles: Coffin Maker, Cursed and Fire but in 2009 New York record label Sacred Bones re-released the singles plus a number of un-released studio and live recordings on 2 vinyl LPs and CD.
