Long Bone Trio
LONG BONE TRIO are:
Gary O'Connor: guitar and vocals
Robin Taylor: guitar
David Middle: drums
The Bones’ can be found lurking in the flat boggy fenlands of East Cambridgeshire and the lost hills of Suffolk. Touting their primitive infectious strain of rock and roll they have gigged extensively throughout the South East of England and have had airplay on several independent digital radio stations in the USA and across Europe as well as on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music show.
Long Bone Trio’s debut single ‘Oscar Flies in the Face of Reason’ was released in 2008 on limited edition 7” vinyl followed in 2009 by their debut album ‘Chainey Pieces’ on Lap Records. There are plans to record a second album in the spring of 2012. ‘Chainey Pieces’ is available on itunes and on CD directly from the band.
History:
Gary O’Connor played guitar for 80s dark wave rockers 13th Chime. In 2009 a number of recordings were re-released by New York record label Sacred Bones.
Robin Taylor drummed for Brighton lo-fi misfits The Fire Department who released several records on Billy Childish’s label: Hangman’s Daughter.
Dave Middle drummed for London based popsters Giantene who released a number of independent recordings and were regulars on the London gig circuit during the 1990s.
